Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition Progress Report Jan-Mar 2025
In early 2025, ERR volunteers across Sudan reached nearly 280,000 people during one of the conflict’s most difficult periods. To add to the complexity, the closure of USAID programs across the country left significant funding and programmatic gaps where there had been historically reliable support.
These grassroots responders helped restore Garsilla Hospital in Central Darfur with medicine and vaccine storage, instal solar-powered water pumps in East Darfur to serve 15,000 people, and provide trauma care and mental health support in South Darfur. In Khartoum’s Ombada area, they even managed community kitchens while evacuating families under fire. Read more in the progress report here.

Between March and May 2025, ERRs across Sudan supported over 185,000 people with food, water, health care, and shelter. This report covers outcomes of volunteer-led, mutual-aid response in crisis—mobilizing quickly, coordinating transparently, and restoring hope through community-led action. Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition Progress Report Oct-Dec 2024
Between October and December 2024, Emergency Response Rooms across Sudan reached over 72,000 people with food, health, protection, and shelter support — despite escalating violence, famine conditions, and massive displacement.
